Feel the Spirit of Brea at the 30th Annual Country Fair on Saturday, July 4. This traditional Independence Day celebration will be held at City Hall Park, 401 S. Brea Blvd. (one block south of Imperial).
Beauty & the Beast, the beloved “tale as old as time,” will be on stage at the Curtis Theatre over three weekends from July 16 through August 2. Brea Youth Theatre performers sing and dance to recreate magical Disney musical numbers.
Do want to play with clay? Exercise a little? Relax with Yoga? Learn something new? A variety of free classes geared for residents ages 55+ are offered at the Brea Senior Center and the newly-remodeled Pioneer Hall.

Play it Safe: Fireworks Are Illegal in Brea

Brea and cities throughout Orange County, police officers and other emergency responders rely on assistance from TIP (Trauma Intervention Program) Volunteers to provide vital, immediate emotional support to trauma victims and their families. The fall training schedule begins September 10 and consists of 10 classes and a three month field training period.
The Brea City Council adopted a water conservation ordinance effective July 16 and a Phase 1 Water Supply Shortage has been declared. Please read to see important new guidelines for saving water.
Overnight parking on Brea streets is prohibited between the hours of 2:00 and 6:00 a.m. in accordance with Brea's long-standing Overnight Parking Ordinance. Vehicles cannot be parked on public streets for more than 30 minutes between the hours of 2:00 and 6:00 a.m. Parking permits allowing overnight on-street parking, in some cases, are available for residents who meet established criteria. An annual $20 per permit fee is charged to help offset costs. You may apply for a permit at Development Services on the third floor of the Brea Civic Cultural Center.

In an effort to reduce costly false alarms, the Brea City Council established an ordinance requiring business and residental alarm users to obtain an annual alarm permit. For those residents and businesses who do no yet have an alarm permit, now is a good time to apply for one since the annual renewal date in July 1.
