As part of the City of Brea, the Curtis Theatre has been a cultural force in the Orange County arts community for nearly 30 years. Operating with the support of the City’s Cultural Arts Commission, The Curtis Theatre presents and produces an annual season of live performance which offers the best in local and national artists, and is the proud home to Stagelight Productions and Brea’s Youth Theatre Program. Outside of its regular season, the Curtis plays host to a variety of award-winning vocal ensembles, dance companies and non-profit arts organizations through its Theatre Rental Program.

Located in the Brea Civic & Cultural Center, just off the 57-freeway, the 199-seat performing arts venue is very close to a wide variety of great restaurants, plus the Brea Mall and Brea Downtown. The Curtis Theatre is wheelchair accessible. Parking is free.

Annie Registration Closed
Due to an overwhelming response, registration for Brea’s Youth Theatre summer production of Annie is full. Due to space limitations, additional children can not be added to the program wait list. Registration for the next production, Suessical, will open in September.Tickets for Annie will go on sale, Tuesday, July 2nd, at 11 a.m. You can purchase through the Curtis Theatre Box Office.
Summertime Concerts in the Park
Another great Brea summer tradition continues with the Concerts in the Park line-up announced. Each week a new group will take the outdoor gazebo stage in City Hall Park for free Wednesday evening performances beginning at 6:30 p.m.Melting Pot Offer Makes Theatre Delicious
"Olinda Story" DVD Sales Support Museum
The original play, Tales from the Canyon: The Olinda Story, was staged in 2009 by Brea’s Curtis Theatre as a project under the California Stories Initiative. This performance was filmed and is now available for purchase on DVD, with all proceeds supporting the Olinda Oil Museum and Trail.
