Fire Prevention Inspections
The City of Brea conducts annual fire prevention inspections. These inspections are completed by on-duty fire companies. The worksheet on the next page includes a number of fire related items will be checking. As a business owner/occupant it is your responsibility to be sure that these important safety items are up to code. We will work to answer any questions you may have during the inspection as our goal is make sure your building and its occupants are as fire safe as possible.

Fees for Fire Inspections
The Brea City Council approved new fees in August of 2008 for many city provided inspection and permit services.  

Fire Prevention Inspection Fee ($106 minimum) $136

          Each additional hour

               Each additional permit on the same visit $126

Beware of Fraudulent Fire Inspectors
The Brea Fire Department conducts fire inspections in all Brea businesses once per calendar year. Business owners should not let anyone inspect their fire extinguishers, sprinkler system, hood system, or any other protection device unless they have an agreement with a specific fire protection service.
