Through the City of Brea Community Services Department, a series of exercise, computer and craft classes are available at the Brea Senior Center, 500 Sievers Ave. (Brea Blvd. & Elm) and Pioneer Hall (adjacent to the Senior Center). Wii Bowling Contests

Come experience one of the most exciting fun activities at the Brea Senior Center--our virtual bowling contests.  Call (714) 990-7750 for the tournament schedule and to register.


Computer & Internet Room
Open Daily 8:00 a.m.-2:45 p.m.

Relax and enjoy using our free computers where you can surf the internet, send some email to family and friends, research information, play games, edit digital photos, and much more!Computers are available for use from 8:00 a.m. till 2:45 p.m. unless a computer class is in session.


One-on-One Computer Tutoring
Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
Appointments Required

Free help with basic computer and internet use, digital photos, email, cell phones, or any other technology related questions.


Living Healthy with a Chronic Condition
Mondays, September 13-October 25
9:00-11:30 a.m.

Don't let fatigue, frustration, pain, sleep loss or depression keep you from living your life. Come learn how to live with chronic conditions through: nutrition and physical activity, communication skills, relaxation techniques, community resources, self-management, goal setting, and problem solving. Knife Sharpening
Every Third Monday
9:00-11:00am - $1 donation per knife
Appointment Required

Bring in your old or dull kitchen knives or other blades that need sharpening (excluding scissors and garden tools). This helpful service is available for only $1 per sharpening. All proceeds benefit activities and programs at the Brea Senior Center.


A Chimes Music Class
Mondays, 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Chimes music class is fun for all. All levels of musicians are welcome in our chimes choir. No experience needed! Learn to play in this special group.  For more information, call (714) 990-7750.


Play in Clay Class 
Tuesdays, 9:00-10:30 a.m.

This craft class specializes in fashioning easy to make one-of-a-kind creations out of senior friendly polymer clay. Join us as we make adorable holiday lapel pins, custom necklaces, beaded bracelets, earrings, and much more! The class is free and anyone is welcome to participate.


Trace Your Family Genealogy
Every Thursday, 9:30-11:00 am 

Interested in creating a Pedigree Chart of your Family History? This class will help you make a Family Group Sheet, Create your Personal Life Story, Organize your Important Family Records, and research online Genealogy Resources.


Traffic Laws and Safety Techniques
Wed-Thurs, October 20-21
1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Reservation Required

This popular class provided by the Community College District reviews traffic laws and safety techniques and is helpful to those soon renewing their driver’s license. In addition, many insurance companies offer a discount to those who complete the course. The fee for the class is just $2.00. Pre-registration and pre-payment is required. Watercolor Painting

PAWS – Friendly Pet Visitors
Every Third Wednesday
10:45-11:45 a.m.

PAWS is a pet assisted therapy program sponsored by the Orange County SPCA to bring smiles and encouragement to seniors through interaction with friendly pet visitors.


One-to-One Gadget Tutoring
Fridays, 9:30-11:30 a.m.

How do I change my cell phone wallpaper or ring tone?  How do I use this digital camera?  What in the world is an MP3 player?  Sign up for our new tutoring service that walks you through the basics of using your cell phone, iPod, digital camera or any other confusing gadget.  Call for an appointment (714) 990-7750.

Sign up now for this unique class taught by a professional artist .  No experience is necessary.  Learn the basics of leather tooling and create your own custom crafts.  Tools and basic crafts will be provided - other projects available for purchase.
