Caregiver Resources
First Thursday of February, May, August and November
10:00-11:30am
The Caregiver Resource Center is a state and federally funded, non-profit organization, whose mission is “To increase the quality of life for caregivers by helping families and communities master the challenges of caregiving.” Our staff can work individually with caregivers to do a complete assessment of their caregiving situation. Together the caregiver and staff will develop a self-care plan, which outlines ways for the caregiver to decrease their stress through education, support groups, counseling and/or referrals to resources. Caregivers have the opportunity to work with someone who really understands their needs and ways to meet those needs. We provide a safe place for caregivers to talk about issues that they may feel uncomfortable sharing with others. We also work with groups of caregivers through support groups, classes and workshops.
