Evening and Saturday hours are available by appointment only. 
Most programs, services and workshops through the Family Resource Center are free or low cost.

The Brea Family Resource Center addresses the varied personal needs and relationship concerns of modern life. A wide array of services are available to Brea residents including: individual and family counseling, parenting classes, debt management and financial workshops, plus health screenings, support groups and social service agency referrals. Most services are free or offered at cost through the support of local sponsorships and grants.

Family Advisory Center Committee
This committee meets to consider local needs, evaluate services, make recommendations and encourage participation. Members include leaders from the non-profit sector, businesses, health professionals, community leaders and dedicated volunteers. 

Counseling
Affordable counseling is available, in both English and Spanish, for families struggling with communication problems, depression, divorce and other issues. Western Youth Services provides individual, couple and child/parent counseling in a private setting within the Family Resource Center. Appointments are needed. Case management participation required. Fees are based on ability to pay. No one is turned away for lack of funds. Call (714) 990-7150 to request an appointment.Offices are located within the Brea Community Center where many programs are conducted throughout the year.

Parenting Education
Western Youth Services,  Children’s Home Society, Children's Bureau and MOMs Resource address issues of safety, communication and discipline to help parents raise healthy, well-adjusted and happy children. 

Financial Workshops & Counseling
Consumer Credit Counseling helps families and individuals learn how to budget, clean up credit records and establish good credit. Workshops, aimed at being financially fit, are offered throughout the year. Private and confidential financial counseling, in both English and Spanish, is available. Call (714) 547-2227 for an appointment.

Health & Safety
Health and wellness screenings are offered throughout the year including vision, hearing, immunizations, breast cancer, children’s dental clinic and infant car seat inspections. Services are aimed at those without medical insurance. Also, a monthly mobile medical clinic visits the center.

Information & Referral Service
Where to seek help? The Family Resource Center provides free information and referrals to families and individuals (English and Spanish speaking) needing special help. All calls are kept confidential. Call (714) 990-7150.

Free Series for Parents of Toddlers
