The City of Brea offers swimming lessons for all ages at The Plunge. Lessons are in five, two-week sessions from June 21 to August 27. Registration for all five sessions is from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on June 5 for Brea residents with proof of residency. Participants from other cities may register during open registration on June 12 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Adults can learn to swim this summer at The Plunge. The Adult Learn-to-Swim Class is for non-swimmers, ages 14 and older.
Aqua Aerobics helps adults achieve a higher level of physical fitness. This class focuses on muscular strength, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility.
The Jr. Lifeguard Program at the Plunge is open to participants over 11 years old and those who have passed the level 5-swim class at the Brea Plunge. Participants will learn professional life guarding skills and improve their water fitness while having fun.
The Lifeguard Training Course is for participants who will be at least 15-years-old by the end of summer. This course offers participants hands-on life guarding experience complete with real life simulated lifeguard skills scenarios.
